9Round 32:00 [5]
ahr:120 max:136 shoes: INOV-8 Alltrain 215

A really good workout for a rainy day. We started with three minutes of jumping rope, and finished with holding plank position. Lots of punches in between.

9Round 32:00 [4]
ahr:115 max:138 shoes: INOV-8 Alltrain 215

Some tough plank moves today got my heart rate up.

Dog Walking 21:01 [2] 1.46 km (14:24 / km) +16m 13:39 / km
ahr:92 max:131 shoes: GORUN5

I had planned on a few running intervals, but it was on-and-off raining, so we only walked. After recycling, we took the Riverfront Trail to the new tennis courts and back.

9Round 32:00 [3]
ahr:110 max:125 shoes: INOV-8 Alltrain 215

Easier today, except for the sparring session with Shelby. She worked me well.

Then I went to Parkville and got my flu shot.
4 PM

Yoga 1:15:00 [2]

A new yoga class--Stretch and Strengthen. I tried it out tonight, and really got stretched. Some of the time I was trembling trying to hold the pose. It was hard, which means I probably need it.

We did Ali shuffles in between some rounds, and that always get my heart rate going.

9Round 32:00 [5]
ahr:123 max:136 shoes: INOV-8 Alltrain 215

A surprise today. I walked in and the place was full of 7th graders. It was also a hard workout today--I spent almost all the time in the red and yellow zones.
10 AM

Slogging 23:37 [3] 2.16 km (10:56 / km) +25m 10:20 / km
ahr:110 max:147 shoes: GORUN5

Jesse James Park. The first couple of jog intervals were a bit longer than I had been doing. Then Elray got somewhat uncooperative, wanted to do sniffing, and the last two were pretty much me towing her. This was not much fun. I'll have to try doing some intervals without her.
6 PM

Workout 1:00:00 [3]
ahr:99 max:122 shoes: INOV-8 Trail Talon 225

Workout with Jared. Heavy weights and lots of balance.

9Round 32:00 [4]
ahr:116 max:128 shoes: INOV-8 Alltrain 215

Our CHOW was at round9 (where I started today) and was being in pushup position, raising each knee, then getting on knees and slamming the sandbag. I did 36. A new trainer today.
9 AM

Slogging 21:54 [3] 2.0 km (10:57 / km) +7m 10:46 / km
ahr:115 max:154 shoes: GORUN5

Mack Porter Park. About 1/4 to 1/3 of the time I was slogging. I didn't want to overdo after yesterday, when just getting back into running. Elray did a bit of sniffing, but I only had to tow her during the last interval. I averaged just under 11 min/km, which was almost a min/km slower than yesterday. But I felt good throughout--no pain in knees or feet. Now I'm enjoying my chocolate milk recovery drink.

Slogging 1:01:00 [4] 6.12 km (9:58 / km) +49m 9:35 / km
ahr:129 max:152 shoes: GORUN5

Needing to get serious about training, Elray and I went to Watkins Mill, where I alternated walking and jogging, hence slogging (slow jogging). I was jogging about half, and this is the fastest I have gone in a long time. I may have been able to break the hour mark, but Elray had me towing her towards the end. Also, I wore my running shoes, haven't done that in a long time, and my feet felt ok. My right knee has also been bothering me, but not today. A very satisfying workout. I came home and had chocolate milk before starting lunch.
