Orienteering 34:51 [4] ** 2.1 km (16:36 / km)
ahr:124 max:145 spiked:10/12c shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Fun sprint course at Jesse James Park with some actual route choices and map reading. It was hot, and I got in last night from a week in Wisconsin, and was tired. Messed up on the first control, and had some running back and forth. Then did well until 10. I think I probably saw it, but didn't realize it, so #3 was very close and I backed from there into 10. I even ran some to the finish. It felt really good to have a map in my hand. When it cools a bit, I'll take Elray out and do the course again.

Note

Home from northern Wisconsin after a week of being completely unplugged. Even my Fitbit ran out of battery power and I couldn't recharge. I probably ate enough sugar in a week for my usual 3-month supply. The weather was totally wonderful. Highs in the mid-70s. I wish we could have brought the great air home with us.

Lots of fun, though, and lots of wine. Also, walking the golf course twice, and canoeing almost five hours down the Brule.
