Orienteering 1:02:26 [4] *** 3.5 km (17:50 / km)
ahr:121 max:148 spiked:5/6c rhr:60 shoes: INOV8 Bare Grips

On the ground, this was probably quite a bit over 5 km and 100 m of climb. Not too happy with what I did, but it was definitely a learning experience. I'm still experiencing lowered lung function from being sick, hopefully I'll have it back before the Flying Pig. Today I actually had to stop and rest twice--haven't done that in a while. I also fell twice, but the second time was because I was almost finished and very tired.

While I didn't really have trouble finding the controls, my route choices left a lot to be desired. I should have stayed on the trails more, and done less cross country.

While rough and thorny, it was still a lot better terrain than last week at Longview.

I'm not sure the HR numbers are good. They had a major breakdown of the system last night and are still working on fixing it. It seemed like I was working harder. Two really tough stations, but not in an aerobic way. Supermans with weights and crunches with a medicine ball alternated with plank dips. Pain. But then I drove to Liberty, met Mary Ann, and we had massages. Franny is wonderful.

Lots of plank stuff that's hard like plankups and pass throughs.

Seemed hard today. Lots of up-downs and Burpees. My HRM reset itself on Monday to make me younger.

Workout 1:00:00 [1]
max:144 rhr:59 shoes: Skechers GoFit

Sweated more than usual with my training session. No ropes or sleds, but lots of weights, and I did my agility drills tonight--pretty well, too. I think I will be sore tomorrow from the twisting with bands to work the arms and the core.

Not my usual time. Gardening fever has set in, and we made a trip to Planter's, then took Elray shopping at Petsmart for kibble. But I still got my workout in.

9Round 32:00 [4]
ahr:120 max:180 shoes: Skechers GoFit

No incredibly tough moves today, but very aerobic. I stayed in the 80-100% ranges most of the workout, then ended with the CHOW of how many curl-ups with a medicine ball to touch the toes overhead in three minutes and I did 76, but it was a long 3 minutes.

Yoga 1:18:00 [0]

Restorative yoga. Hadn't been for a month. It was good.

Dog Walking 51:15 [3] 4.29 km (11:57 / km)
shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Took Elray to Watkins Mill. She had been following me around from room-to-room all morning, and we haven't had a good walk in a while because I was sick. I tried to keep a good pace (except for poo and pickup stops). I think I should try to increase my walking pace, and look at leg turnover. Except for not making stupid mistakes, I think that would be the best thing I can do at this point in time to increase my speed during events.

I checked the fitbit from yesterday, and I actually went 5.38 km on the 3.8 km course.
