Today was a killer. I spent about 12 minutes in the red zone, and my max heart rate was 22 points higher than I'm supposed to go. That was the Ali shuffle which I actually did today. Even the rounds that are usually slower had tough components. I'm just glad I lived through it, and did this with a sore back that kept me awake part of the night.

I took Elray to Smithville Lake. She had never been there, and it's 3-4 years since I was there. We did a loop plus a little extra on the paved trail. Some vegetation changes (the ones I saw were for the better) and they added a bathroom building at the north end of the Smoke and Davey trail. All good.
After a terrible night's sleep, and having to get up for ibupropen for sore muscles, this was workout enough. Not too bad, except for the last round. The inchworm--really hard. Also Burpee Friday, but they don't seem as difficult as they used to be.

After recycling, went to Riverfront Park with the Elray. It was cold, so we had a vigorous walk.
Doing leg lifts with a medicine ball between your feet for three minutes is not a pleasant experience. Also, station 6 was the whole three minutes on the knees, kicking the bag in pushup position. Whew!

Took Elray to Watkins Mill and walked counter-clockwise down and back. Mostly walked vigorously since it was cold, but we did a few stop-n-sniffs.

Candlelight. Some tough stretches tonight, and my arthritic big toe got really painful.
Beat my CHOW yesterday--today I got 106 squat/kick on the bag in three minutes.

Elray was getting pretty rammy from the last two days of bad weather, so Bob gave her a tennis lesson this morning, and I took her for a power walk at Jesse James Park. Good for both of us.
Different time than usual, after my shot and the car got new brakes. A tough one today--Amanda said her mom is designing for corporate, and they would be tough all week.
