Took Elray to Jesse James Park, and made her keep up with my pace for the most part. My leg is still tired from the long walk yesterday.

Tough workout today. The first station was hops up and down an agility ladder, but I'm not hopping yet. I did run up and down it four times alternated with four pushups for the three minutes. At station five, we worked with the trainer punching and it was a real shoulder workout.

After recycling, took Elray on the riverside walk. We had planned on going to the wastewater treatment plant and back, because that is a total of two miles, and my knee gets uncomfortable after a half mile or so. When we got to the road in back of the high school, there was a lot of heavy machinery and a huge pile of dirt. On the other side of the street was more large earth-moving stuff, two police cars, and a bunch of guys. We walked down to where the trail separates from the road to the treatment plant, and they had a sign up that the road was closed. We walked to the treatment plant and back (and Elray was doing a good job of walking with me) and they were digging up the road on the north side of the trail/road split. One guy on a huge backhoe, and five guys watching him. They had totally cratered the road out, so we had to go back and walk across the weed patch to a dead end street, then half a mile before a road that actually crossed the ditch (today a creek). Up a block, then 1/2 mile back to our trail. I'd wondered why it was in the low seventies, overcast with a light breeze, and we only saw one guy in a recumbent tricycle on the trail. Anyway, more of a workout than I wanted, but my leg didn't hurt any more than a two mile walk.

Lots of pushups today. I did 380 punches in 3 minutes on the 8th round challenge and the last round was a 3-minute wall sit. Piece of cake! Then I went home and picked blueberries for two hours and got too hot.

Workout 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Skechers GoFit

A really good workout today. Instead of the dreaded bicycle, I warmed up with three up and back jogs forward, one backward, and one sideways. I didn't do the jumping jacks, however. Still not ready for that.

I pushed the sled backward four times, with pushing forward on the reverse. Really fires up the quads. I also did lots of rope drills. Maybe by next week I'll be ready to try a few jumps.

Good workout except for one messup. I was doing squats instead of squat jumps, which was what was posted, when I had a brain fart and actually did a couple of squat jumps. Instant pain under the knee cap.

Hard workout today with lots of pushups. I did a little light jumping. Since I had to wait for Bob to pick me up, I did a few extra moves.

Note

My plan was to take Elray to Watkins Mill for a 2-miler, with a few short jogs. So much for plans. It started pouring rain about 8 am, and we have had waves of downpours ever since. At least four inches of rain, and they say, more to come. Bob hooked up a pump, because it was water was actually coming into the basement. Almost forty years in this house, and never had water issues until this year. I think Elray's exercise today will be fetch in the living room.
