Orienteering 34:21 [2] ** 2.5 km (13:44 / km)
spiked:11/11c shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Sprint run at Pink Hill Park in the rain. I wore my new knee braces and did no sprinting. Going downhill hurts my knees a little, but it was really good to get out in the park with a map instead of a dog, even in the rain. I felt much better than a couple of weeks ago at the annual meeting.

9Round 31:30 [4]
ahr:116 max:134 shoes: Skechers GoFit

Today is Burpee Friday, and I did at least 120 Burpees. Not as many as I used to do on Burpee Friday, because I can't jump in and out and have to get up and down one leg at a time. At any rate, with Burpees on each 30 second break, and the countdown--first round alternate 25 jump ropes with 9 Burpees, second round, alternate curls with 8 Burpees, etc., it was a lot. I managed to sweat enough to get sunscreen in both eyes. Ouch! Then I had to wait to be able to drive.

Dog Walking 37:00 [2] 1.4 mi (26:26 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Finally, the rain stopped, and the sun came out (why I put on the sunscreen). Elray and I went to recycling, then across the street, and walked the trail by the high school, out and back. My knee seems to hurt more going downhill. I need to think about this and test it out. When I got home, I took a super naproxen.

9Round 32:00 [4]
shoes: Skechers GoFit

We have had four inches of rain over the last two days, after too much rain just previously. Walking Elray is quite an adventure. So I went to 9Round this morning and sweated a lot. Instead of hopscotch (no hopping allowed, yet) I did the soccer shuffle on the ladder.

Dog Walking 25:00 [2] 1.0 mi (25:00 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

I was going to take Elray to Jesse James Park for a walk, but all three ways to get to Kearney from my house involve crossing Clear Creek and all three were closed because of high water. The main bridge at HWY 92 was replaced a few years ago with one several feet higher, but not high enough. So we ended up coming home and walking around the block.

Workout 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Skechers GoFit

Our new summertime workout schedule in the morning started today. I didn't get my usual good Bob breakfast, because of the storm and a power hit killed the power. Good news was that I had just returned from Elray's morning potty time before the lightning hit quite close to the house, and the coffee and toast had just popped up. So we had toast and coffee, but no eggs, boo hoo, before my workout.

Since we are totally waterlogged, another 3-4 inches of rain is not going to help much. Things at the gym were pretty positive. I wore both of my new knee braces, and we tried agility drills for the first time since the accident. I even ended up with one that sort of mimicked the motion of running, but without impact. Felt a little weird. Just taking my baby steps back.

Different time of day and Luke was the trainer. Lots of pushup type moves which really got my HR up. Major sweat.
