Dog Walking 1:05:29 [3] 4.0 mi (16:22 / mi)
shoes: Skechers Trail

Trying to toughen up for cold weather orienteering, so I took ElRay to Watkins Mill for the bike trail walk/run. Thirty degrees, but at least the winds stopped, so I dressed as I would to orienteer. I was very comfortable except for the hands. They were really cold, despite gloves. I need to use Hot Hands in the pockets. We made pretty good time--just over an hour including poop and piddle time, plus a few squirrel diversions.

I took off a day from 9Round (and may take off tomorrow, also) because I woke up last night with pain in my right shoulder. It was ok when I went to bed. This isn't as bad as a couple of years ago when I tore a tendon in my left shoulder--I can raise my arms over my head without pain. I did my PT prescribed stretches several times today, and hope it doesn't keep me awake like last night.

9Round 32:00 [4]

Good training today. At round 7, you were supposed to alternate shin kicks on the bag while holding dumbbells out to the side. If your arms dropped, you had to do four Burpees. I hate Burpees, and managed to keep those arms up for the entire three minutes, but it was a long time.

9Round 32:00 [4]

Managed to do all rounds well today. Still a little sore in the thighs from yesterday's challenge, but beat it today 47 to 42. The challenge was to squat low enough to touch a Bosu with your butt, then stand up and double punch the bag, and repeat for 3 minutes.

Workout 1:00:00 [4]

Workout with Jared. We did our agility training with a new twist tonight--pulling a resistance band out on the ladder, and having the band pull me coming back. We did a lot of our usual drills with the band. We also did the sled tonight. Regular pushing going out and pushing forward with the low handles going back. Harder than the regular pushing, but not as bad as going backward. I finished up with tippytoes while switching a sandbag from hand to hand. I did feel strong tonight.

9Round 32:00 [5]

Tough today. I couldn't do the last round which was assume plank position with your feet up on the wall. I kept sliding forward, so I just did plank position.

Good workout. Some new, challenging moves.

Dog Walking 50:00 [3] 3.0 mi (16:40 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Beautiful day, windy, but 71 degrees and sunny. Since it is supposed to be about 40 degrees cooler the rest of the week, I took ElRay to Watkins Mill for a walkabout. Earlier, I was out in the garden harvesting lettuce and spinach before the deep freeze.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: Skechers Trail

Back to Hodge Park to fill in some vegetation boundaries and new fences. I brought ElRay to multi-task dog walking. I have probably reached the limit on open places where she can go with me. Didn't want to waste the beautiful weather today, and I did some aerobic gardening earlier in the afternoon.
