9Round 32:30 [4]

Managed to sleep ok last night. Today's workout was the usual challenge, but less intense than yesterday. This was good, because I have strawberries to pick and need to plant my herb garden today.

9Round 32:00 [5]

I had a really bad evening, with horrible coughing until 2 am when I finally went to bed and was able to sleep for about 4 hours. This was after taking cough medicine around 11 pm.

Today at 9Round was brutal, Burpees for 30 seconds between each round. I hate Burpees! We also started out jumping rope for 3 minutes and counting jumps, since it was a challenge. Anyway, I hit the red zone a few times and had to slow down, but spent most of the 32 minutes in the yellow (around 85% MHR). I was wiped out when it was over, but after drinking a bottle of water and driving home, I started feeling pretty good.

9Round 32:00 [4]

Feeling better today, but still coughing deep in the lungs. The last round was a killer--in Russian twist position, bicycle while pretending to pull a rope with the hands. Try to keep that up for three minutes.

9Round 32:00 [4]

Used my asthma medicine last night. Lots of coughing, and couldn't get past 83% max, but I felt better.

Workout 1:00:00 [3]

Weekly workout with my trainer. We really hit the battle ropes--five different ways with 10 reps each and 4 sets. Ouch! My arms are like jelly.

9Round 32:00 [4]

Really congested today. I managed to do ok at 9Round, then had a massage (wonderful--and Crystal really worked over my sinuses, also). Then I went to the allergist for my shot. To get the shot, you have to breathe out quickly into this cardboard tube thing. My first attempt wasn't good enough, but close, so I tried again and made it. The suggestion was that I use my asthma medication, so I need to find it.

Dog Walking 59:15 [3] 4.0 mi (14:49 / mi)
shoes: Skechers GoRunS

Took ElRay for a walk/jog around the lake at Watkins Mill. This is the first time the two of us together have broken an hour. Except for a poop and pickup, and two squirrel alerts, I kept her going all the way, and I managed to slog part of the time, also.

I'm still really congested from allergy season, and didn't get my shot last week because of vacation. We hike through fields of sage, which smells great but doesn't agree with my immune system, while in Teddy Roosevelt National Park last week, and I was so congested that I had a headache (first in several years) and a really bad earache. Then to come home to orchard grass pollen, which is the worst.

When I walk with ElRay, it reminds me of the tortoise and the hare, she being the hare. When we got home, however, she took a dip in her pool and had a long nap, and I went out for three hours and planted curcubits and picked strawberries. Yeah for the tortoise.
