Training Log Archive: possum

Took ElRay to run errands and had a walk at Riverfront park. We only went a mile, then turned and walked back, since she had her Triflexis pill this morning, and I didn't want a sick puppy girl. The high point was that we coaxed her into the car by herself both coming and going. Now I'll need to lift weights for my workout instead of her.

A good time at Watkins Mill. Mostly at a pretty good pace, except for an extended period splashing in the stream, and visiting with people (and dogs) we know.

The most strenuous part is picking ElRay up to put her in the car, since she is over 40 lb and won't get in by herself.

Went to Clinton overlook today to hang tapes for the Sunflower Games. Made some minor changes, and sent it off for vetting.

Weekly workout with Jared, and it was intense. Pushing the sled forward and backwards with 90 lbs added, plus some rope work standing on balance boards.

After the workout, I went to breakfast with Bob, and picked up ElRay after her first spa morning. Then I went to Hodge Park, and ran my course and hung tapes. Made a few minor changes. The volunteers at the Living History Museum want a flyer to put up, so I went home and worked on a short course also.

Good day--not too hot, but I'm pretty tired.

Getting stronger--traded some 10's for 12'a

Absolutely beautiful weather after the oppressive heat last week when I was working outside all day. Took ElRay to Watkins Mill. She is doing less sniffing, so we have picked up the pace are doing more race walking and just a bit of sprinting. We did take a five minute break so she could splash in the water.
