A new Winter League season! Sadly I celebrated by carelessly running down an OOB reentrant, so I was honor-bound to DQ myself. Upon examination of the splits it was revealed that it hadn't gained me any time. I would have been third, ages behind Jourdan and <1min behind Peteris. Not a great run in any case; I was in "forgot how to orienteer" mode at the start and lost ~30s on the first control due to not knowing how to read a map, plus a handful of other 10-30s bobbles or suboptimal routes, most notably 13.

Up the Coal Creek trail to the Cougar Mountain trailhead and back. Hadn't been on that trail before; it was quite lovely with the fall colors. Trail was steeper and slippier in places than expected so I was going pretty slow without trail runners on.
