I finally got a new watch (Forerunner 220) which apparently tracks your personal records. After this first run, my mile PR is currently 6:59 and my 5k is 21:54.

So I'll go ahead and submit those to the ESC. Knock knock knockin' on the door of that Elite 16:30.

Speaking of which, a curious thing happened on the US Team call today: an unknown male someone (jokingly?) tried to nominate me for the ESC. I can only assume this someone is out to get me; though I have no info as to his identity I suspect Mr. Smith, as his track record is that of the Joker to my Batman.

Winter Series #1 @ Magnuson Park. Came second, 31s behind Eric. I navigated cleanly but wasn't fast and gave away time in a couple places due to sub-optimal route choice. RG

6-7: Should have taken the direct trail instead of running to the dog area after forgetting that it was a dog area and then deciding to skirt around the outside of the fence, not wanting to deal with dogs and their people. ~20s.

12-13: Meant to go back along the dog area fence but lost contact and ended up getting pushed over top of the hill. ~20s.

16-17: Should have taken the trail left or around the green right instead of going straight through the slowish rough open. ~10s.

Nice courses (and map updates) by Jourdan and Celia on a venue that's a bit small, flat and sprinty for a WIOL meet. Magnuson is more suited for SART...

For the first time, chilly enough to prompt sleeves and a beanie. I tried to do this workout on Sunday but failed; at least I finished it tonight, if not in particularly fine form. Have not been feeling or running strong the last few days.
