Cycling 42:10 [3] 10.78 mi (15.3 mph) +25m

Took a new route that I thought would be shorter, turns out it's actually a tenth of a mile longer. #routechoice

If I were in charge of the alphabet, U and I would be together.

Running 37:08 [2] 4.01 mi (9:16 / mi) +125m 8:27 / mi

Joined Gina and Patrick, plus special guest Mr. Nevin French (!) for the Green Lake Running Group's Wednesday evening run. Afterward we drank some beers and discussed sports in general, specifically the surpassing Sisyphean angst concomitant with involvement in higher-level North American orienteering.

Pink Socks and Nev-Monster attended this game this afternoon. I stupidly elected not to skip out on work, which reinforces the life lesson that you'll never be sorry you decided to do something fun instead of go to work.

Cycling 40:00 [3] 10.67 mi (16.0 mph) +25m

Morning commute. Forgot my watch but I think I may have finally broke 40 min! I left at 7:16 and arrived at 7:56. Of course, I had to run some red lights and a bunch of stop signs to do it, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Cycling 50:00 [3] 10.67 mi (12.8 mph) +50m

Evening commute. Fighting headwinds and traffic, then got stuck behind six or eight 737 fuselages on final approach.

If you had a time machine that could only go backward in time or forward in time, which would you choose?

Some interesting ideas here:

"One key to improving in running is building confidence in your ability to endure."
