Orienteering 1:28:32 [3] ** 9.36 mi (9:28 / mi) +200m 8:52 / mi
32c

Possibly my poorest Street Scramble performance of all time. Not a good weekend, navigationally speaking.

Orienteering race 29:30 [5] ** 5.0 km (5:54 / km) +105m 5:20 / km
24c

Distance guess. I usually rip Woodland Park up, but not today. I didn't have a good warm-up, wasn't in the right mindset, and didn't feel good physically.

Running intervals 11:50 [4] 2.01 mi (5:53 / mi) +10m 5:48 / mi

My local high school track was occupied by my local high school girls soccer team, so I audibled to Bridle Trails and ran two mile intervals along the power line trail before getting spooked by impending darkness. Not what I was looking for, but better than nothing.

Will there be Scots inaugurally competing at WOC in their home country?

Cycling 40:32 [3] 10.65 mi (15.8 mph) +20m

Almost broke 40. Would've had it if I didn't get stopped at the last light.

I threw up a 2:57 mile, which is unusual.

Weekly plan:
M - Easy run
T - Bike commute
W - Easy run/strength
T - Track intervals
F - Off
S - Woodland Park O' (~30 min. high-intensity)
S - Fremont SS (~two hours medium-intensity)

Apparently this is happening in the Puget Sound area this weekend. Looks like fun, especially the part about real-life Blerches chasing you around.
6 PM

Cycling 45:55 [3] 11.0 mi (14.4 mph) +52m

Totally crushed the ride home today, even though I got stuck in the swirling vortex that is cycling through downtown Renton for a while. I did one undulating mile in 2:47 - usually I don't go under 3:00. Not sure what was going on, but I felt like Lance GD Armstrong out there.

If anyone has yet figured out why athletes (in the loose sense of the term) randomly throw out great performances some days, let me know.

Running 1:02:29 [3] 7.67 mi (8:09 / mi) +150m 7:41 / mi

Recovery run through Bridle Trails and Watershed. Today I was cheered by an onlooker, who clapped his hands, nodded his head, and said "Yeah!" as I rambled by. This is the opposite of being called a jogger.

I clanked my kneecap pretty solidly yesterday after pitching forward past the horizontal whilst attempting to cross a very green reentrant, and it is now a bit sore. Luckily, it was the one good knee I had left.

In unrelated news, the playoff odds for your and my beloved Seattle Mariners are down to 36.6% :(
