While Garmin is broken, I briefly considered emulating the esteemed Mr. Swampfox and merely writing about the stuff I did, but then I figured well I guess it's easy to upload the files manually, and there can only be one Swampfox.

Anyway, my plan was to head to the mountains after work and go orienteering, then camp, then orienteer again Saturday AM, then come home. It was a good plan. Maybe even a great one. However, I ran smack into a random insane traffic jam on I-90 leading up to Snoqualmie Pass, probably due to construction which somebody decided would be a good idea to do on a Friday afternoon during peak "everyone gtfo out of Seattle" time. Google estimated a 2-3 hour delay and that I wouldn't even get as far as Cle Elum by 7pm, so it quickly became apparent that I wouldn't arrive at the map in time to run before darkness. As such I bailed at the first opportunity, swearing profusely. I stopped and did the short run up Little Si in order to work off some of my seething, futile anger.

I got stung by a hornet on the way down. Hopefully it wasn't of the murder variety. There is a bit of swelling and a little pain - but it's not a problem.
