Some Salmon la Sac training. Went pretty well for the most part; the main goal was just to maintain map contact and practice good technique in complicated terrain. I was successful more often than not.
When I arrived, there was a whitewater race competition happening on the Cle Elum River just up from the bridge crossing, with overheard slalom gates set up, like in the Olympics.

Tried to go up to a little lake called Diamond Lake, but lost the trail after it got too snowy, I didn't want to do a cross-country sidehill traverse on a steep slope for another mile, and the ridgeline was too gnarly to follow - so forward progress was no longer feasible.
