Mergeo's Teanaway nav race, 4hr variety. I crafted a plan covering the entirety of the Teanaway side of the map other than one control, plus two controls on the Lick Creek side. To my surprise, I was able to cover the whole thing except for one decision to skip which would have involved a major up-and-back climb. At that point I was about 3hr in and was getting pretty hot so was thinking I'd run out of time, but ended up with 10min to spare, so mis-estimated. Then again, it's possible that the climb could have wrecked me for that last hour.

Weather was excellent, mostly overcast in the 60s climbing to low 70s by finish time. Made a few mistakes here and there, mostly in the early going. It was cool to get into the extreme western part of the map where I'd never gone before; this was also the area most impacted by the fire last summer, so lots of burn around. At one point I decided it would be a bad-ass thing to do to put some charcoal eyeblack on my cheeks like a football player, so that I could intimidate any people or creatures I met. Beforehand I guesstimated I could cover about 20 miles, averaging 5mph or 12min/mile, and was on track for most of the way before slipping a little behind by the end.
