25 Days of SARTember, Day 15

Location: Home

Today, a short discussion on a mundane yet performance-affecting question: What will the weather be like for SART? Well, I'm glad you asked. Here are the historic temperature averages for September 26 and 27 in Seattle:

9/26 High 67F / 19C, Low 51F / 11C
9/27 High 67F / 19C, Low 50F / 10C

Here are the recorded extremes for same:

9/26 High 77F / 25C, Low 45F / 7C
9/27 High 78F / 26C, Low 43F / 6C

And here is the current 2015 forecast, ten days out:

9/26 High 62F / 17C, Low 49F / 9C "Showers"
9/27 High 62F / 17C, Low 49F / 9C "Partly Cloudy"

So, with temps on the cooler side of the established range, it appears that our lovely 2015 Seattle summer will be over by then, but the weekend will still be comfortable, if not necessarily warm. Certainly, it will be a bit chilly in the morning. And, if it rains, we in Cascade have a motto that I just made up: "Seattle orienteering: Better when it's wetter."

On the whole, excellent running weather!
