Running 22:36 [3] 3.12 mi (7:15 / mi) +20m 7:06 / mi

Run down to the library. I was planning to do a very easy recovery run but I felt energetic so decided to go a bit harder than very easy.

Running 33:28 [3] 4.11 mi (8:09 / mi) +150m 7:19 / mi

Made my way back from the library along the waterfront, then up up up along the trail to Watershed and back around to home.

At one point I was running along the sidewalk and passed close by some garbage containers, and in the normal motion of running managed to smash my right hand directly into one of them, jamming all four fingers pretty substantially and painfully.

Although I was a bit stunned at first (mostly by my own clumsiness), I recovered and went on with the run. Veteran orienteering pundits immediately declared this the greatest performance while sustaining a bizarre hand injury since Eric broke his wrist fifteen minutes into the race and still won the 2012 U.S. Ultralong Champs.
