Metroleague Tregear.
Regular small mistakes, but the main one was 5mins at 6. Ran off a bearing when I should have run off features. Thought it was easy and ran too hard. Ended up going to 7, then too Far East. Compass work is just so shite, often off by 45degrees... don’t really know how to figure it out... maybe I need to just spend heaps of time walking around a park with a compass?

Had the legs so pushed up galston nicely then paid for it For the rest of the ride, in the pain cave for a fair while, but speed felt good on the slow surface roads

Fasted (no carb dinner, no brekkie) and rode around tempo 2 laps, then eased back for another 2. legs had some pep, but ass was pretty sore on the saddle.

Note

UTA notes for next year
- poles. seem like a no-brainer for me with consistent leg strength problems
- keep up/step up the legstrength circuits & core
- more course familiarisation for the last 20k (i think this would help for the night running
- more downhill reps

Definately think 12h30m and top 70 was within reach for me this year, and am a little disappointed missing it by so much... lack of experience was to blame a bit. I feel like top 50 would be a great target for next year.

i guess it felt better than expected, but still a mess. sore all over, but felt better at the end than the start
calf started cramping 2km in lol, but eased up later.
energy really wavering between feeling dizzy and out-of-it to feeling ok.
