Train to vejle and ran two forest maps there. Nice forest and a fair bit of off track choice thanks to picking controls before leaving. Pretty tired legs by the end and pretty frozen. Getting a lot better at compass work thanks to a mass of unmapped MTV tracks.

hannerup forest on a public map. Was harder than expected given that it was mostly on trail.
Intended on only being out for an hour but checked my watch when I got back and 2hours had passed with no food or water.

Made a bit of a breakthrough with compass-technique... realising it's more effective to orient the map and compass-line 'to the next control' rather than 'in the direction you're running'.

Long trail from frederecia up the coast to trelde and back via the 'fjord'. Started by headtorch past some creepy war bunkers. The forest up to trelde was bloody muddy and treacherous with hundreds of landslides in the clay soil. The track was also very indistinct which was mostly ok as the forest was pretty runable, but sketchy when it meant possible running off a cliff or into quicksand.
Fitness very good with no breakfast and only half a bread roll on the way, legs a little cramps, caused by balancing in deep mud similar to cradle.

Frederecia run to the beach then along until a huge mudslide was impassable without swimming. Felt like tempo but was closer to snails pace. Good to be less ill and on non-icy ground.
