Cycling (Turbo) 51:50 [3] 27.36 km (31.7 kph) +176m
shoes: Cervelo P3

First zwift in a while, watching letour.
Legs didn't really seem to give much and struggled to get through. the last 20 minutes or so was struggling to spin at 150w or so haha.
Guess you can't be a decent cyclist when you never get on a bike?

After brunch at Laperouse, ran around the coastal trail up to Maroubra, up the beaches to waverley cemetary, then home through Centenial Park.
Fantastic trails and found a lot more spots where you can avoid the golf courses and get out on the cliffs. The rifle range was open, and probably found the best way behind, only having to crawl through a fence at a safe spot for 200m or so.
I didn't take nearly enough food, only a small bar and a small gel (about 30g carb total) as i didn't expect to be out so long, and fell apart at 22k, dropping into ultra-mode. Probably would have caught a bus if there was anything direct.

Good run to get through mentally, and really enjoyable for the first half.

5k Tempo foreshore with ondrej.
Felt really heavy and crap from the start, tired, heavy, sore, breathless and almost just headed straight to the pub, but the Nike billboard in balmain inspired me.
Dropped off the pace in the first 200m but somehow, incredibly, managed to stay within contact to Ondrej and reel him back slowly through the session.

Absolutely wrecked in a pile at the end, not sure if i passed out or not, but some good takeaways in terms of mental strength - i seem to be able to push myself to breaking point a lot more these days... does that mean i'm able to push myself harder, or that the breaking point is getting lower,

Looking to start doing some more tempo runs now that interval habits are getting under control in the leadup to c2s and spring marathons. my new PBs suggest that tempo is around 3:40-3:45 (which feels fast).
Only lasted just over 5k at this pace, but had a backpack, and legs were feeling quite heavy still from sunday, so i'm ok with that... confident i could hold this for longer with better conditions.
Perhaps when running with a backpack i should add 10seconds to the target pace?
