Running 8:46 [3] 1.81 km (4:51 / km) +31m 4:29 / km
shoes: New Balance Minimus

Swimming 25:21 [3] 1.15 km (22:03 / km)

6 x 200s off 4:10ish. Speed around 1:50s. Main takeaway was breaching the water forcibly with each stroke, need to figure out whether that's something I should be aiming for.

Running 17:54 [3] 4.0 km (4:29 / km) +52m 4:12 / km
shoes: New Balance Minimus

Minimal cadence from the pool, aiming around 180bpm.
Legs felt surprisingly ok.

Trying to spin out the legs with high/low cadence on the turbo. Random Spotify mix 1 song >100rpm in aero, 1 song standing climb around 60.

TrailRunning race 4:44:47 intensity: (15 @1) + (1:55 @2) + (34:18 @3) + (3:49:20 @4) + (18:59 @5) 45.26 km (6:18 / km) +1347m 5:29 / km
ahr:163 max:196 shoes: Salomon Xscream

Jabulani Challenge 45km.
This was a last minute replacement after Mt Solitary got cancelled and came into it in a weird headspace, treating it a bit like a long coastal classic although i knew i wasn't giving the course credit.
Went out fast holding on to Ondrej again (you'd think i'd learn) and was in around 6th place at halfway. At this point i let Ondrej go on the tech downhill to sphinx.
At the top of the next climb took the 1ST wrong turn, where the trail hit a firetrail there were no ribbons in sight, but 3 half obscured in the bush off to the left, so followed those and they went nowhere (2mins@24km)
Heading into the wildflower garden (30km) i felt twinges of abductor cramp again, so started scoffing electrolytes and gels but didn't really help and (just like cradle) ended up cramping on every step up for the rest of the race.
That along with 2 more wrong turns, the 2ND (3mins@34km) up and back down a concrete climb and the 3RD (5mins@40km) following a runner off a cliff which then took me 4 full minutes to climb back up while cramping (urgh)

Finished around 15th instead of 6th.
Pretty dissappointed, and want to sort out this cramp thing... a physio had suggested it could be related to a possible abdominal tear i've been complaining about (which a runner i was chatting too had linked to abductor issues before). the other is that i just need to be doing more deep step ups for more strength... i dunno.

Need to decide whether to run the postponed MtSolitary now... confidence is low.

5 gels 3L, a Powerade/tailwind mix, 4 Nuun electrolytes, handfull of crisps.

[EDIT] final place 13th. timing looks like the last 5 minute cliff mistake cost me 10th spot. Doesn't feel as bad dropping from 6th to 10th, but still pretty dissappointed and want to sort out this cramping shit.
