TrailRunning hills 1:12:45 [4] 7.28 km (9:59 / km) +1053m 5:48 / km
shoes: Salomon SpeedCross

Up ben lomond just past the saddle, where the weather really got too sketchy to continue. Trotted back down and met Anne partway up, then hiked with her.
When we made it back down to top of the gondola I left Anne and took off, nailed it running downhill, probably the most fun descent I've had.

Back down with Anne when it started snowing up ben Lomond.

Descent back down from luxmore hut, fully loaded.
Foot really sore by the end, but otherwise good spirits... Really want to come back and race it sometime.

Walking (Kepler track) 4:44:10 [1] 14.19 km (20:01 / km) +961m 14:57 / km

Kepler track from Te anau to luxmore hut. 900m ascent with full pack, but outrageous views from the hut and a great experience sleeping up there overnight

Note
(rest day)

Had planned on kayaking Milford sound but massive winds meant it was cancelled. Did a cruise instead, which was awesome because massive rains meant there were literally hundreds of waterfalls cascading off the cliffs.

Walking (Roy's peak) 5:34:29 [1] 16.26 km (20:34 / km) +1387m 14:25 / km

Big hill climb with Anne. About 1500m straight up, with some pretty awesome and sketchy ridges to walk across. Stuffed by the descent, and right foot giving me grief.
