Queenstown marathon - 3:06:51 25th/2000ish
Very undulating course, steep inclines and declines, I would call it a non-technical trail run, so happy with the time, which would probably equate to sub 3 on flats.
Ran a bit fast for the first 10, and found my legs couldn't quite keep the heart rate up where I wanted it from 25k or so even though my lungs were good. Was able to chat to other runners etc as if it were a trail race rather than a Marathon. Long steep hill around32km meant a >5min/k split there.
Beautiful trail, just stunning, and I enjoyed it the whole way, without hitting the wall at any stage. Satisfied. Bodes well for London!
