Very exhausted afterwards, which is wierd...

Marathon Race Pace.
Planned on doing 10-15km at 4:10, but struggled with the heat and the wind. Running with a backpack didn't help.
Made it to 10k with a massive HR drift (8bpm below max for last km) before finishing up. Will need to do another test in better conditions before setting this as MRP for Queenstown.
Even the slow long jog home was a real struggle.
Not too downhearted, pace was optimistic, and probably not well rested from Hounslow.

oh and a bird shat in my mouth. fucking disgusting.

Corporate cup at recovery pace... although it was a bit quicker than recovery, i definately felt better after it than before it.

Seaforth Summer Series.
Arrived very late but managed to get a map and start without planning (again).
Overall route choice actually ended up being pretty good, but was getting very dark near the end and had to just run back, skipping all the trail controls and one about 50m from the finish.
Only other big mistake was entry into the bare-rock section. chose the bush-bash route, but was way too dark for it so chickened out and went back around.
450pts. Not bad considering.

a bit of recovery in the medium lane. Anne joined at the end. Legs not feeling too bad, except for left hamstring.
felt surprisingly smooth in the water, looking forward to getting some proper sessions in again.
