Total death of a relay first leg. Remind me never to be that unfit again

orienteering 1:03:00 [3] 9.0 km (7:00 / km)

An amazing reintroduction to the world of orienteering racing. Off the paces like but had a great time racing alongside Will for a large portion of the race after I messed up the fourth control. Got away near the end and managed to pull back the two minutes he had gained on me.

running 50:00 [2] 10.0 km (5:00 / km)

Into uni, bleugh. Survived just about.

Also found out that the shuffle only actually has 7 songs on it. All by artists previously mentioned as highlights. When you listen to them numerous times they stop being highlights.

Easy with Euzie and Sam, yikes

7 AM

running 44:45 [3] 10.65 km (4:12 / km)

Combination of downhill, tailwind and a beaut morning meant this was a bit faster than normal. Feeling tired but in the good training load way. Kind of a shame I won't be running back today as the weather is so nice
6 PM

running 1:00:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)

Dirty session with the EUOC boys who are now the strongest and fastest training group in Edinburgh.

2x1200, 2x1000, 2x800, 4x200. All with a bit over 2 minutes rest.

Started steady and then tried the front for the first 800. that was fine then died on the second. Ah well it was still all to play for. Cruised the first 3 200m mid-pack then went full send on the last rep. Got a gap, did some celebrating, then pegged it into the shower and to the Pleasance theatre because i was supposed to be seeing a show with some mates. It was empty so put the burners on again and kegged it over to Teviot. Arrived just in time for the start of the action.
