Day 1, 4th. First race of the week. An ok run, but soundly beaten by four minutes, i think partly to do with my v early start and dodgey routes.

Long race practise. Running at not quite tempo just trying to flow through the course. Was reasonably easy so managed with very little time loss. Pleased

Middle race practice Feeling good for the first couple of controls. Third control i thought was a bit hidden and i didn't have a very good picture. Lost a load of time here before racing round the next section with Tim and Ali. Direction was totally off but just about made up for it with pace

Was going for sub 18 as i thought that would put me in contention to beat Will on this apparently quite slow course. Set off reasonably conservatively until the first hill where i immediately pushed the pace. Running at the front with Will on my shoulder to the top then continued pushing down it until over the 2k mark. By just under 3k i had pulled away slightly before the last hill. Here i was caught again and by the top he was right on my shoulder. Pushed on down the hill and stretched out on the last 500m to the finish. Won by 4 seconds with a new PB. Really pleased.

Garmin makes it 80 metres climb and counting it up that's what it gives but didn't seem quite so much...

Again no training. Doing a young persons coaching course which involved a little running and then was swimming and played a bit of football after. So a bit of work but not too much

Racing the train down the side of Cairngorm. Pretty mad pace and very nearly went over a couple of times. Beat the train in along with Sasha. Andrew just missing out but he'll get it next time:L 440 metres descent!

No running for the past week. A lot of football and mucking around though so not too bad. Took my kit but there really wasn't a chance to get out.
