Jok sprint- final. Just as much of a physical struggle but only a couple of small misses. Good pair of races!

Event: Dark Thistle

9 PM

orienteering 1:31:00 [3] 11.2 km (8:08 / km)

Ill all week so this was a shock. Started badly and was way down at 1. Caught Sasha over next couple and tucked in behind till 20 mins. Missed 10 and went wild. Pretty bonky and looooads of mistakes

Sunday Apr 17, 2016 #

orienteering 36:30 [3]

Slow hesitant and scrappy through the first ten, bananaing everywhere but still getting the controls with nothing major. Large mistake to 11 of ~2:30. Some dark green above where it is marked and a really shallow hill compared to how it looked on the map- a lot of people seemed to have had the same issue. Ran very hard on non optimal route on the next one. From there some small mistakes but generally ok. Plesed enough with result, just the British to go now...

orienteering race 14:40 [4]

Ill all week and still coughing up loads of crap (with a cheeky side of blood). Started hard and despite taking completely wrong route to two it was fine. Running strongly but making a couple of hesittions though till nine, wait, that's not nine... Swapped nine for six and only noticed when half way to 6/9. Just stopped for a while before deciding to run hard to 10 then continue. Still made a couple of stupid mistakes...

Note

Feeling rough on and off for a while now. Taking the week off again... Also shin is very sore where I fell on it last week. Weird achey pain whenever i lift my toes up. Not too fussed though just want to not be ill :L

orienteering race 1:19:00 [4] 14.5 km (5:27 / km) +380m 4:49 / km

Started steady and cautious about my achilles. Wrond route to two and three but plodded through until 10 without any significant mistakes. A couple dodge routes and a good dose of gorsing with Tom and then back out in the open! Feeling alright but feeling like i was on a long run on all the flat bits, not working especially hard. Bad route to 20 and 21 before just getting finished :L Really enjoyable

running 20:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:40 / km) +50m 6:09 / km

orienteering 13:30 [4] 3.32 km (4:04 / km)

Sprint course around Livingston. Hard word but making a number of misses. Turns out i missed a whole loop... Oopd

running 10:00 [4] 3.05 km (3:16 / km)

Tempo around a little field. Feeling surprisingly good after the orienteering and was surprised at the pace i was maintaining without too much of an issue!

running 11:00 [3] 1.85 km (5:57 / km)

6 sprints of around 100 metres then a warm down

Friday Apr 8, 2016 #

running 30:00 [3] 6.1 km (4:55 / km) +50m 4:43 / km

A 200 and a 400 to finish in about 29 and 64. All ~29-31 with 40 seconds recovery. Was with Lizzie who only got 30 ;)

running 56:05 [2] 10.8 km (5:12 / km) +170m 4:49 / km
