Harvester First Leg.

Worst run ever at Harvester?
Tubigrips on calves helped prevent further injury.
Had terrible job trying to find various rides/paths. Ended up stuck in (over) head high brambles, nettles, thistles.
Lost pack very early on due to lack of general speed and worry about over stressing calves if pushing harder. Need more night specific experience before next serious night based event to refine technique.
Lamp with battery on camelback bag worked well. Cutdown glasses ok, though felt that I was looking through a letterbox at times.

Felt bad about result, but at least I finished successfully and practically speaking the overall position in the handicap class would not have improved even if I'd've won the first leg.
