Tired (and therefore slow) after busy O weekend. Otherwise ok.

Chiltern Challenge. Short Brown

Map looked quite green at first glance, but otherwise, what a nice area!
continuously variable subtle changes in vegetation and easy to miss paths meant that I had to settle into the style of the map and terrain. Felt that I was going quite well for most of the course, though lost it on a few of the legs (e.g. at the end of the long leg).

Finished just before the rain started.

String course was excellent and children enjoyed it. Fruit (rather than sweets) well received by participants.

Cissbury Ring SOG.
Physical and tricky (sometimes to the extent of having to play a percentages game). One of the more extreme examples of choosing the right speed to traverse the terrain.
Bonus was that I was first on the course (by about 20s, from NC)!
