British Night Champs (Course 3)
Let down by some significant errors - lost a good 6/7 minutes or more due to carelessness. More caution needed + pace counting and accurate bearings.Felt sluggish, but to be expected. Never likely to have been in contention for medals, but a top 6 should've been feasible. Incredible performance by race leader - outclassing all who followed!
New lamp worked well (fine on middle brightness setting), but need to improve battery lead/connector arrangement. Don't have to be so cautious to carry extra headlamp set as a backup. Start voltage 8.4V finish 7.7V - should be ok for 2-3 hrs from full battery.
Glasses generally ok, but frustrated by misting up problems. Would like to sort this issue out.
