Forgot to ask to play badminton, so not on todays list. Probably earned a rest day anyway after the busy O and party weekend.

Dorking Urban Race. Course 2
Good map. Lots of tricky bits. Caught out big time on No. 2 and very confued by entrance to shopping area on way to No. 3. Settled into it a bit more after that, but missed tunnel route 5-> 6 and went from 18 -> 22 (line for 22-23 ran through circle. Felt lucky to spot No 20 in the underpass. Desparate for toilet for much of the race so went straight to download (via facilities) at finish!

British Relays Champs. Holmbury Hill
m Short Open final leg.
Generally ok, but big miss on one control and a few smaller wobbles.
Low speed/fitness seemed to lead to a lack of confidence -> mistakes.
Pulled the team up one place, but wouldn't have moved up further (even with a perfect run).
Quite rough under foot.

Off the pace, but probably no worse than usual at the moment.
Problems with glasses steaming up and droplets during rain showers.

Picked up bike after returning the hire car.

Ran to the polling station, voted, ran back to work.
Generally a straight line, but with a few diversions off to the side to add some variety and interest. Estimated distance.
Foot hurting (a bit of plantar fasciitus?) before the start, but no apparent worsening of the situation.
Felt that I needed the exercise after the relative lack over the last few days (work trip away) and lack of opportunity at the weekend.
Will be the last exercise prior to the British Champs Individual race on Saturday.

Swim in hotel pool. Distance not known, but was getting dizzy with the frequent turns in the short, irregularly shaped, pool.
Felt good afterwards, so had a reasonable session.
