snow shoveling 17:23 [3]

Nice new snow overnight. Looks like winter, finally. Cold all day.
5 PM

walking warm up/down 4:40 [1] 0.09 mi (51:48 / mi) +1m 50:04 / mi
ahr:108 max:122

GPS took a long time to find the satellites so I adjusted the time manually. Once they were located, they were pretty accurate.

Other (classic) 38:22 [2] 2.26 mi (16:59 / mi) +17m 16:35 / mi
ahr:118 max:128

A circuit of the park with a detour to try some little downhills. Partly in someone else's track and partly making my own. A bit windy from the NW but tolerable. Experimenting with clothes. Picked Intensity 2 based on HR which was lower than when running.

walking warm up/down 4:40 [1] 0.23 mi (20:28 / mi)

snow shoveling 14:59 [3] 0.22 mi (1:08:07 / mi) +1m 1:07:10 / mi
ahr:101 max:108

The GPS track is a hoot. Cleared the driveway. Barbara had done the front walk when we came back from lunch and it only had an additional dusting. Still wearing my ski boots.

ahr:136 max:151 shoes: Asics 2160

Managed to run the same hill 6 times without boring myself to death. Then ran another on the way out (of the cemetery).

strength 49:30 [3]

I was all set at 11 AM to jump in the car and zip over to the Y but the ignition wouldn't unlock. Called the locksmith who was familiar with that problem in cars like mine. Had to take the public transport to the other gym, the JCC. Did a little extra core stuff. Locksmith showed up at 2 PM and fixed the problem.

(rest day)

This was supposed to be a rest day but I got called in to the office to do tax returns. So I'm logging the walk back and forth.

Other (classic) 1:14:21 [3] 3.87 mi (19:13 / mi) +84m 18:00 / mi

Checked out of the cottage and went skiing. Got onto an advanced trail at one point and had no problems.

Other (classic) 28:12 [3] 1.42 mi (19:52 / mi) +31m 18:36 / mi
ahr:110 max:134

After a short break, back out for the final session. Bagged another advanced trail. Didn't fall down all day. Was very conservative on the downhills.

Other (Automobile) 4:13 [0] 4.79 mi (53 / mi) +2m 53 / mi

Who knew the GPS watch can pick up satellites in the car. But maybe only headed west. How can this be useful?
