Ran on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail from SUNY New Paltz. Route was "out and back" and flat (obviously) except at the end getting back up the hill to the campus. 5 minutes of running uphill. Wow!
Note
This was a beautiful place to run even though it was darn flat. Railroad beds were never known for being hilly. Still, there was a lot to occupy the senses. Lots of birds, views of creeks, views of the "'Gunks" including the tower at the Mohonk Mountain House. Even an apple orchard. The interesting terrain was alongside the route.
Actually a travel day - I go to pick up Adam at college this afternoon. Didn't do weights this AM because I needed the sleep more. If it's a choice between sleep and anything, I'll usually choose sleep. Also, tomorrow AM I get to go for my long run in New Paltz. That will be nice.
Long side of the golf course to a loop around the lake and back along the short side of the golf course. Down and up the stairs at the Delaware Avenue bridge. Mostly on paved paths but on grass toward end. Nice AM run.
