First run since trip to DC. Did hills in the cemetery. Warm up 10 min, 20 min of hills, and 5 min cool down. Ran early because of cooking duty in late afternoon. Chili takes time.

First tempo workout of the season. At the gym on their treadmill because B wanted to go and it's better when we both go. Actually a treadmill is a good place to do a tempo workout. Did 5 x 800m at pace of 8:41 with one minute walk in between. Also 10 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down plus a little walking. Forgot to note the mileage. Time is approx. Stupid treadmill stops after 30 minutes and has to be restarted. A good workout nonetheless.

Decided it was time to start workouts so did inaugural hill workout. 4x up each of two hills. One was 1:30 up the other about 1:00. Stopped on one uphill to take the picture below. Heavy wet snow overnight was quickly disappearing due to mildish temps and sunshine. Ring road was clear and dry.
