5k race called the "Chilly Challenge" but the temps were in the upper 40's so it was anything but. Not real happy with the time but it was good enough for 1st in Men 70-74. The point is to win, right? I had forgotten how the last bit of the race was uphill. Hung out with Walt and Patty afterwards.

Went to visit a friend in the hospital. It wasn't much of a visit - he'd had a stroke and was pretty much unresponsive. This was a guy who lived a couple of blocks away that I had played poker with once a month for the last couple of years. In the last year, two of the other players died and now this guy has a stroke.

Ran slowly. Cold, -10C, wind W17mph, but sunny. Hamstring gave no problem so I guess it's cured? Had an audition for a commercial today. Not sure how it went. Shopped for food this AM - first time at the COOP and then Wegman's. Went to the library with Barbara and browsed Car and Driver and a running magazine. It said old farts like me should join a running club - which I've already done!
