Trail running 2:11:04 [3] 14.2 mi (9:14 / mi) +280m 8:42 / mi

Another mild weekend day invited me for a run. I opted for a trail grand tour to Beech Hill. To CW then to U farm, to BH. There, some distance was added by running the homologated loopedy-loop bike trails which extended over the entire length of BH. Eventually I had to bail out to make my way over to Rt 155 and the Major Gunpowder trail area, which meant to cross a 100m densely grown over power line cut. Then, a lot of slippery mud on the trails from the recent rain which slowed my pace considerably. Eventually I crossed the N branch of the Oyster which resulted in one wet foot. I refrained from crossing the main branch - would have entailed knee deep wading - instead bailed out on a NWerly linear trail that connected to Cherry Lane, which then turned to a class VI road that had more deep puddles than dry spots, but ample opportunity to detour along the edge. After Cherry it was heading home on pavement (2.5 miles) on Snell Rd and Garrity to PF road. I topped it off with an "honor" round around the hole on trails to loosen my feet.

Trail running 43:00 [3] 4.83 mi (8:54 / mi) +90m 8:25 / mi

Desperately needed a run after a day of grading with some distractions by the grandson. Cool out, so sprinting was in order. 5 hill sprints around the hole, with only slight recovery slow down. Just cruising, soo refreshing at 27F. Barely broke out a sweat.

Walking 1:20:00 [1] 3.0 mi (26:40 / mi) +50m 25:21 / mi

Through the woods behind Nate's house. Nice woods. Last Xmas I snowshoed more or less the same route. An out and back. With N and F. Turkey was almost ready by the time we came back.

Trail running 1:33:25 [3] 10.03 mi (9:19 / mi) +130m 8:57 / mi
shoes: On Cloudflow dark grey

A perfect day for a run: cool, sunny, no wind. What was originally meant to be a 6 mile loop became a 10 miler. First Thompson Forest Loop then towards Frolking, then over to Highland House (Thompson Farm), to Packers Falls, then back to Stonehenge, and over the loopy trails connecting to Troy's trails, then back home. Legs felt fine, so I added three hill sprints around the hole to bring it all up to a 10 miler. That felt good, and I needed it after a bit of a hiatus.

jogging 40:00 [2] 3.0 mi (13:20 / mi) +40m 12:48 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 910 sz 9

Easy jogging - looping around the hole. Collecting branches, and moving dead trees around, prepping the logging cuts for skiing. Hoping for no more warm-spell-soaker-rains. Running time is estimated, since I kept the Garmin running at times while stopping.
