Running 1:26:09 [3] 14.36 km (6:00 / km) +456m 5:11 / km
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33

From Silverstream bridge car park. Stokes Valley - Horoeka track - a loop up and down the spur - Avian.
Felt awful to start with and was very slow, but improved significantly during the climb and felt pretty good towards the end - pleasantly surprising!

Running 23:33 [3] 4.04 km (5:50 / km) +160m 4:52 / km
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

The Short Avian-Avro loop just to loosen up a bit after sitting in the car for several hours. Legs tired but not quite as bad as I'd expected.

Running 2:47:12 [3] 18.0 km (9:17 / km) +1247m 6:54 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212

From the end of Mangorei Park (on the edge of the National Park) straight up to Pouakai Hut then down to the big swamp, up past Holly Hut, eventually joining up with the route we came down the mountain on Tuesday to get back to the bunkhouse. Did the climb with Al C-W, but the second half was with Oli, who was struggling for the last hour - a lot of walking. Ran the last few minutes on my own a lot faster.
Epic route, but was feeling pretty awful physically.

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

Around Lake Mangamahoe MTB park (might be called something else?) mostly with Guy and Mark Frater. Mostly on Intermediate trails which were a lot of fun though a bit on the technical side for me in places. Legs fairly tired after yesterday.

Running 30:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212

Climbed Mt Taranaki from North Egmont with a big group.
Ran the last part of the route back having got a bit frustrated with all the stopping and waiting - the whole thing took about 9 hours in total. (How did Greg B. manage to get up and down in 1:36??)
Very glad to have had the chance to get to the top.

The extended Avian - Avro loop
Just felt really good so went for it a bit. Possibly the second fastest time ever?
