shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212 Black

Wat-O event - John F. Kennedy Arboretum - 7.8Km (according to the results, but think it was actually a lot less).

Enjoyable, and trickier than expected though part of that was the map which was rather out of date in places. Lost various small amounts of time for various reasons. Worst was probably about 45sec at 10, which was in the wrong place. Physically under par again.

Warm down. Confirming that the map was out of date, though rather more out of date in the areas not visited by the courses.

Ran round the medium course from SYO's Tuesday evening Sprint / Urban at The Edge. 3.5Km straight line, but some long routes round necessary.

Well below par physically - much as expected. Felt slow and heavy. Took a while to get into the navigation but just about held it together. Out of practice at sprint racing, so a useful session.

The extended Avian-Avro loop, but a bit shorter not being able to do the second half of the track up from Avian.

Just a loosen-up before getting on a plane for 24 hours. Felt OK until hitting the hills where the legs felt fairly tired.

Hills 2 long - 4 short - 2L - 4S - 2L on the other hill. Rests after the 2 sets of 4 short hills.

A lot of pain in this. The legs didn't feel too bad but in severe oxygen debt for most of the last few. Probably the last speed session this year, and quite glad of that.
