run (road/grass) long 1:36:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 3

Note

Still trying to figure out what I saw yesterday at the college XC races before I went to Oak Mountain. At least one woman per team collapsed or almost collapsed after crossing the finish line. I was told only one guy collapsed. This isn't what I've seen at other college races this year, or at the high school races, and was a cause for discussion. The weather was just about perfect for running a race. Several causes were proposed:
- Cold wind infering with breathing (but we had only one woman who was having trouble breathing)
- No breakfast (would explain why people weren't throwing up more)
- A virus going around (a couple women were coming back from being sick, but why weren't the guys falling over?)
- It's conference championship (Why weren't the guys falling over?)
I'm not sure what to think at this point.

run (road/grass) warm up/down 17:00 [2]
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 3

Running to and back from the map work. Probably a bad idea to run across the flooded spillway.

Did the first five points from last week's course. Still looking at the map too much, but did manage to find all the points without too much trouble.

Did part of an old course, not at full speed. Towards the end my feet began to hurt, and I got slower. Only figured out I missed the one point on the second go-around. Doing better with the map, but not sure whether this was because I was still in the same area, or I was actually improving.

Second go-around on part of the old course. Was jogging/walking at this point.
