What a day - 26 ish miles. Plotted the first three checkpoints and ran them, on way to third control I casually looked at the descriptions and #4 was nearly off the map, 10km away. Quite clearly as the crow flies this will exceed 26 miles (42k). Plotted the rest of the course at control 3 then awed at the route to come. A case of stamina over pace, no PB 5:29 chasing this year. Heart rate was kept at under 135 so as to keep the endurance going. Caught another lad Miles then Gerry Orchard with about four miles to go and we all ran in together
