Foot-O race (Orange (3) Middle) 46:37 [3] 3.3 mi (14:08 / mi) +50m 13:29 / mi

Was so good to do model map but still messes up on 1, went the wrong way at the start control because I was not oriented, I looked around a lot and made the terrain fit the map. Finally I decided to relocate at the start triangle and realized my mistake. Rest went well 8:30. Did not see the the trail so took and rough azimuth trough the woods, about this time I noticed a woman who I youth was doing the same course as me, she was and was almost exactly my speed at least for a while I ran with her back and forth. Went to other control before 4 but was not to bad. I knew the way to five well as a lot of that area was that that I had explored during my time looking for 1. I undershoot 6. I learned that a lot of things were under mapped and I under shot a lot of things during the course. Found a good route though the juniper on 7-8, then ran the road and got my feet wet part way though that run, found another good route going to 8. Spiked 8 and in doing so lead some others there. Then ran on compass to 9. Ran trail to powerline, took a quick drink, then on to the trail and just went strait, found other control, went back to trail, on compass found it again and then found the real contol, I think the trail was mis mapped. Then ran over the top of the hill and on to other trail, went off trail not sure what happened but I wandered around and finally found it. Ran to 12, ducked the fence, found control. Sprinted to 13. Then ran to a contol on a large bolder near 14. After punching I checked control code, as I have done with all and am so glad of that this race, then relized the mistake and went the safe but hard way to control. To GO control I went the large trail way and made up time. Passed someone in finish control.

Running 8:00 [2]

Went for a very short run today after the doctor said it was ok for me to run, as long as I did not trip and land on my Left arm, so I was very careful. My arm did not hurt while running. I have virtually no pain in my arm unless I do a few very specific things with it.

Went to the doctor's today and got a cast, I had previously gotten a splint from the ER, that I will have on for 4-5 weeks, this is a lot worse than the ER thinking that I would have the splint on for a week and then be healed. The doctor said that I should not run in the woods but can if I want to risk a lot, I probably will not run in the woods but might run on trails and in the sprint a North Americans but not as hard as I normally would. It does not really hurt to run, or anytime, this is a vast improvement, not that I have tried much of it.
