Orienteering race 35:51 [4] 2.2 km (16:18 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Longer course with 18 controls at Big Rock an area we use about once every 2 years. Interesting course thru the rocks and cliff area. I thought the hardest control was #1. I resisted the urge to run thru the creek and walked across on the rocks losing about 30 seconds. It will be interesting to see where AP calculates the lost time. I would think 1, 3, 6 & 14. All should have been minor.

Orienteering race 15:30 [4] 1.3 km (11:55 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Short course with 10 controls. Several common controls with the longer course. It was designed for a beginner.

Walking 2:00:00 [2] 3.0 mi (40:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Played part of the Frisbee (Disc) golf course at the state park. I was excited to see they had mowed it this year. Last year only part of it was mowed. Our grandson was excited at first but after several up and down holes, he had enough.

Kayaking 2:00:00 [1] 3.5 mi (34:17 / mi)

Another kayak trip with our grandson on Rough River Lake. The great weather continued. He also got in a lot of swimming time in the lake.

Walking 2:30:00 [2] 3.0 mi (50:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Hiking and a long rock scramble (off trail - very rough area) with our Grandson. Dealt with the ticks for a couple days after this.

Kayaking 2:00:00 [1] 2.0 mi (1:00:00 / mi)

Vacation trip with our grandson (age 11) to Rough River Lake State Park. We took him kayaking today. A lot of time spent learning how to paddle etc. Its tough for him growing up with out a dad. He had a great time - good to see him laugh. The outdoors are so good for reaching kids & adults.
