Orienteering race 28:04 [5] 2.8 km (10:01 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

One bad error "to the finish" I ran to the wrong road junction.

Got home when I pulled off the right shoe the sock was blood stained. The little bit of the nail on the big toe had pushed into the toe causing a nice laceration on the exposed toenail bed. I will be soaking the feet in Epsom salt tonight. Hopefully I can cut the nail back some more. Ouch!

Long sprint course set by Emily. It was fun to get out in the spring like temps again.

Orienteering race 1:36:30 [5] 7.2 km (13:24 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Distance based upon Laurie's GPS watch we did almost the same route. Actual as crow flies distance = 5.9 KM.

Ever year I do this race it reminds me of a goat race. I did the medium course. It has a mass start. 3 levels - short, medium & long. It has absurd hill climb to it. However, No forks or skipping.

Some minor cramping - still rehydrating - very warm today no water on course and I did not bring any with me.

I put the ski's away, I really don't think there will be a deep enough snow to ski on the rest of the winter. Most El Nino years are warm and wet here. But this last snow surprised me.
