Orienteering 5:14:00 [3] 10.4 km (30:12 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

Put out streamers and marked old fences at T-Lake today.
Since it was 90+ degrees carried 120 oz of water along with goo and protein bars. Ran out at the end ended up dumping a packet of salt and sugar into my last water bottle to make it through.

Walking 34:15 [1] 2.82 km (12:09 / km)
shoes: INOV TERROC 330

Watched a Youtube video of Ulmstead South Red Course from May 2015 I had 3 quick observations.

1. The woods were surprisingly open
2. All the control bags were touching the ground
3. I could learn some good lessons on how to use a thumb compass from the maker of this video.

Orienteering race 28:35 [4] 2.1 km (13:37 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2015

A Chase format race put on by Bruce. Your average time for the sprint season was used to give everyone a handicap. The slower ones started first and everyone was let go about based upon the handicap. You could not look at Map until starting. There were 23 controls. Ending up working as intended with a big cluster of us at about the same time showing up at the finish.

Ran out of daylight on this one, it was pitch black when trying to load up everything. We will have to simplify this if we do it next year.

Walking 17:30 [1] 1.41 km (12:25 / km)
shoes: INOV TERROC 330

Finally back in town after what seems like weeks of traveling.

Weights (weights) 5:00 [3]

While I was gone, Ben solved the problem with SI Simple, talking with the author of the program who updated it for SI 10 + SI 11 cards.

Ordered a 1000 more map bags - going to try 4 mil instead of 3 mil this time.
