Walking 2:45:00 [1] 3.0 mi (55:00 / mi)

Scavenger Hunt with the family in Lost River Cave Park - Bowling Green KY. All 8 grandkids made it for Elena's 4th birthday. We scoured the park looking for various items. I could not find the Albino Squirrel but got the rest of them while keeping an eye on the grandkids.

Travel Day

Orienteering race 28:12 [3] 2.3 km (12:16 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia NI

Enjoyable course set by Ben. I held back on this because I wanted to do the second course and am only good for about 3KM running.

No missed time on this one - the slower speed tends to help the navigation.

Orienteering race 59:53 [3] 3.5 km (17:07 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia NI

A long sprint course set by Ben which featured a lot more challenges than the shorter sprint. I was able to only run the first 2 controls than it was a fast walk the rest of the way.

Spiked every control due to the slow speed I was moving at.

Walking 16:40 [1] 1.41 km (11:49 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Thanks to Ben for putting on the meet. Greet to see some of the crew from OCIN. As always it's great to get lessons from Matt on the software.

I need to have Matt show me how to use Or . SI simple does not work for Score O's

Walking 1 [1] 0.1 km (10 / km)
shoes: Rail Rider Pants

Walking 34:15 [1] 2.82 km (12:09 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Got the results published from the meet yesterday. We figured out the XML file type Ben needs for his program. Good thing that version also works with Attackpoint splits. So all seemed to work smoothly after upgrading Si Simple. Clai even came back a second time and this time he is included in the results.

Walking 1 [1] 0.1 km (10 / km)

Orienteering race 35:32 [4] 2.9 km (12:15 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia NI

Good Course - A lot more forest than most of our sprints. My speed continues to increase slowly.

It was dark before we got out of the park. Good turnout considering the I-65 bridge was down to one lane due to an accident. 2nd street bridge was closed due to the construction project. It took some people an hour to get to the park.

Orienteering 30:00 [2] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)

Walking 33:47 [1] 2.82 km (11:59 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Special thanks to Matt! I downloaded the new version of SI simple, it works. I reread the download box. The diagnostics showed an SI - 11 card. It included our visitor's card in the results. So we're in business on the newer SI cards.

Walking 29:51 [1] 2.2 km (13:34 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Finishing up the Sprint map for the Girl Scout HDQ. I will wait till a couple days before the meet to make sure none of the controls are in a homeless camp.

Was also working on the Camp Stem map using some of the Global mapper and Lidar data that Arnie had sent me.
