Orienteering race 1:58:33 [3] 7.48 km (15:51 / km)
shoes: INOV TERROC 330

I went to the Mt Saint Francis Spiritual Retreat Center in Southern Indiana and reran a 2 hr Score O course from October 6, 2007. I have the map but the results were never published on our website?

Still not up to running yet, but moved at a fast walking pace. I got 23 of the 28 controls. I used a GPS to keep myself accountable.

The map was in surprisingly good shape. It was done by Shawn Smith a former member. The trail network would need to be updated. The map also shows all forest as white. This is mostly true, but I did run into some green sections. But with just a little work, this map could be updated and be useable. We would just need to talk with the Fathers who run the center. I don't think anyone has contacts still with them.

A lot of fun, I had not been here since the Score O so 6.5 years. A wet day but a good day to be outdoors!

Walking 36:30 [1] 2.82 km (12:57 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Broke down and finally bought a bike for the Adventure Race. Now I can register. Realized I only had a month left, so I had to stop screwing around and just buy one. I have no idea if I will like an Adventure Race, but until I try how will I know?

I wonder if I am the first from OLOU to try a Flying Squirrel Adventure Race?

Both office chairs fell apart this tax season after about 6 years. Broke down today and bought a new one, the folding chair just was not doing it for me.

Reset time on the sprint control boxes hopefully next week will be smoother. Got hold of the next weeks meet director. Looks like everything is set for next Tuesday evening.

Orienteering 30:00 [2] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

The first sprint of our Tuesday evening series. We had 34 finger sticks used some ran in groups. It was a hot evening mid 80's. It was great to see a lot of new faces.

We were quite an advertisement for the sport in this small city park. Many people stopped in to ask what we were doing. We gave an overview many times.

A fun evening, glad to get started again. I need to retime the controls. I only had a couple minutes this AM and threw out the controls that were way off.

Walking 18:15 [1] 1.41 km (12:57 / km)

Uploaded the splits from the download box.

Walking 36:11 [1] 2.82 km (12:50 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Been putting together everything for our first Tuesday evening sprint of the season. It's our first meet since Louie's relay in March. The equipment is scattered among members. It's been like pulling teeth getting everything together. Dan was nice enough to help with the map. Don't have the club printer yet which I produce maps on.

We will see how it goes tomorrow. It's been hard getting used to 80's.

Walking 31:50 [1] 2.82 km (11:17 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Got hold of the U of L Map and the courses that Bruce used. Now all I need is the time to start looking at the scale problem.
