Walking 29:40 [2] 2.82 km (10:31 / km)

Realized during the walk that mapping at Taylorsville Lake was out. As the park mgr told me, where you go, nobody else has been in 40 years don't be stupid. So I will settle for Waterfront Park mapping and some skiing.

X country sking 55:00 [2] 4.0 km (13:45 / km)

First time on ski's in about 6 yrs. Dragged out my pair I got in high school. Finally got into the groove and then the sole seperated from the boot. Oh well hopefully shoe goo will work. The shoes are 40 years old. If not maybe duct tape.

Mapping 1:01:40 [2] 3.42 km (18:02 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

I had no idea how big cyclo cross was. Every parking lot was filled with out of state cars at the waterfront. I finally parked on the N side of slugger field and mapped the west end of waterfront park. Cold and windy, I had it to myself except for the one homeless tent in the pines.

Walking 29:15 [2] 2.82 km (10:22 / km)

Dan dropped off the equipment. I uploaded the splits from OE for last Saturday to Attackpoint. I wanted to have a file that worked so I could start onto SI_Simple and see if it will upload. At any rate, I have that file and will work with it this weekend.

I will also be putting together my import file for OE for the triple sprint this weekend. Matt helped me get this up and going a couple years ago. I still use the same file just update it each time we do the 3X sprint. Since runners do three courses on the same finger stick, they are set up using start numbers with the course # + the last 3 digits of the finger stick. I do it in Excel convert to a CSV file and import it into OE and it works. Just more work on race day.

Walking 31:25 [1] 2.82 mi (11:08 / mi)

The results from SI Simple were crossed checked against OE with no problems. I wish it was not tax season I would get all this done asap, but it will take me a while. Some other items I need to check out/test.

1. Can I get the box with a USB port instead of the serial RS-232? I'm the only one with a machine that still can download the info. I bought a converter but the software with it said it might ruin all USB ports on the computer if installed, so I returned it.

2. Easiest way to do the runners file. In other countries all members own their own stick, so this is easy. For us this last meet, 6 owned their own stick, while 83 used rental sticks.

3. Can I get the results in a format that will up load to AP.

Walking 28:14 [2] 2.82 mi (10:01 / mi)

Still working with SI Simple, sent differences to Dan to see if this all makes sense. This could be a real score with our sprint series. Better & faster results. I'm all about simple.
