Orienteering 2:19:00 [2] 9.09 km (15:17 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Setting out controls for the training class at Cherokee Park

Orienteering race 2:35:00 [4] 11.86 km (13:04 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

Great Course - We had a great time. GPS showed 11.86 KM covered with 2 hrs and 35 minutes of moving time and 1 hr and 12 minutes of static time. I did not realize we spent that much time map reading but either that or when we went through a couple dark green patches we moved very slowly.

Special thanks to Dave and OCIN for a great meet.

Walking 36:10 [1] 2.82 km (12:50 / km)

Biking 10:00 [2] 1.5 mi (6:40 / mi)
weight:234lbs

Bike tires were still holding air.

Made the company post office run and picked up a very small Mag light for the Night O.

I have not done a Night O since I shattered my middle finger several years back. I swore I would never do another. But I have been thinking that the head lamp casts a wierd shadow almost creates a blind spot. I want to try it with both a head lamp and a small hand held see how it goes.

I'll take it easy and see how it goes. If this works, I'll start hitting more Night events.

Finished up map at St Matthews Community Park except for the woods which I will wait until it gets colder to do.

The Park is very similar to Brown Park.

Walking 35:14 [1] 2.82 km (12:30 / km)

Biking 10:00 [2] 1.5 mi (6:40 / mi)
weight:234lbs

I finally did it. Dusted off the old bike. Had not been used since 2003. I was amazed the tires held air. We'll see if they still have air tomorrow.

I had forgotten it was a $65 Huffy. I was able to park in front of the post office with no lock. No one would ever steal it. It was very uncomfortable riding it.

Took company mail to post office and picked up some office supplies.
