Orienteering race 32:56 [4] 2.0 km (16:28 / km)
shoes: OROC Spiked

Well set course by Louie on a very wet night. Ran thru water knee deep. Bad storms a couple hours before the meet kept several people away from the meet. Glad I was in spiked shoes!

Orienteering race 20:30 [3] 1.5 km (13:40 / km)
shoes: OROC Spiked

Made a wrong turn which cost me a couple minutes. Course setting was fine on this course also just very wet.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3] 3.4 km (26:28 / km)
shoes: INOV TERROC 330

Set the courses at Lapping Park. I was a little concerned about the heat so I had brought Gatorade. The heat index was forecast at 100-105 but it was actually in the upper 90's. Overall a good turnout for the heat and the northern most park we use for sprint season. The beginner course was a true white course, control at every major decision point. The advanced was really advanced with lots of route choices available.

Note

5 days of helping train JR ROTC students at the army camp in west central KY. We trained about 120 per day, so the club should be over 900 cadets by the end of the week. Had a great time, got to work with a great group. Mostly I worked the computer. We were using the MeOS software. My first time using it.

Kayaking 1:15 [2]

First trip this year on a kayak. Real point of the trip was to see what Janet can do, so we can plan out our anniversary trip. She did fine just will need some help getting out of the kayak.
